A Brief History
The Loose Park Homes Association was founded in 1946 and falls within the greater Sunset Hill neighborhood which was platted in September 1928. The land within the association boundaries served as the polo fields for the Kansas City Country Club from the late 1800s until its development by the Ward Investment Company in the 1940s.
BOUNDARIES
The association represents the fifty-seven homes bounded by 52nd Street to the north, 55th Street to the south, Summit Street and Loose Park to the east, and Belleview Avenue to the west. In addition, neighbors on the other side of the boundary streets with less active Neighborhood Associations are invited to join Loose Park Homes Association as non-voting Associate members. with access to security services, social events, and other benefits.
